Eight-Things-You-Need-To-Know
My two sons have been coming to All American Martial Arts Academy for 6 months now, they have learn discipline, sportsmanship and how to defend themselves. Mr. James Speight is a great instructor. He not only teaches the kids, but he generally cares for their well-being. My two sons have enjoyed coming, they have gained confidence in their ability to learn the techniques. The instructors and the older students really help the youngsters. My two sons have joined the competition team and they really feel like a part of the team. I couldn’t ask for any better place or people to instruct our kids. Thanks a lot to James Speight for his guidance and encouragement towards the students. I would recommend the facility to anyone.

This was a good demonstration that Rickson and Royler did at a Pride Fighting Championship. At that time Gracie Brazilian Jiu-jitsu was just getting popular was still unknown is many ways, and even though Rickson and Royler made it look easy, it took their family from Brazil many years to perfect their self-Defense Techniques. Props to the family that built what all of us in the Martial Arts World has enjoyed.

One of the best comeback in mixed martial arts fights I have seen as a coach in all the years I have been coaching MMA. And I have to give props for Dan Miragliotta the referee who was refereeing this fight. He didn’t step in too early he let the fight continue. essentially the other guy Knocked my Chris Burns out at 23 seconds in this video, broke his nose, blood was everywhere, Danny allowed the fight to continue, Chris was able to regained enough to get the armbar that broke the other guy’s arm. I think that Dan Miragliotta stopped the match when he reached in to check the fighter and his arm was limp. I think he thought he was choked out but the arm was dislocated.

Short video from the TV series Human Weapon about the Development of Mixed Martial Arts. This video also explains some basic moves in Mixed Martial Arts Like the double leg take down, the sprawl, triangle choke, and the arm bar.
Though I don’t encourage the spinning back kick as being a great striking technique as it is depicted in this video a lot of people who started in Kickboxing and Karate seem to like the spinning back kick and seem make it work for them.
I always encourage you to keep your opponent in front of you, always turning into, rather than away from your opponent, not allowing easy access to your back.
